Q:Why do I need a login password and a transaction password?

 

A:The two-password requirement prevents others from accessing your accounts and making transactions without your consent.

Remember to always keep your passwords secure. Do not divulge them to others or keep a copy where they may be easily lost or stolen.

 

Q:I forgot my password/s. What do I do next?

 

A:Call the ATM Center at telephone no. (632) 885-5423 to 5425 to request for a new set of passwords.

You will be asked certain questions to verify your identity--this is for your own security. Pick up the password mailer from your branch of account as instructed.

 

 

Q:I forgot my User ID. What do I do next?

 

A:Simply call the ATM Center at telephone no. (632) 885-5423 to 5425 to request for your current User ID. You will be asked certain questions to verify your identity--this is for your own security.

 

Q:If I ask the ATM Center for a new login password, will my transaction password be reset as well?

 

A:The ATM Center will ask which password you wish to have replaced. The corresponding password mailer will be sent to the branch for you for to pick up.

 

Q:What will I do if I forget my password for Mobile Banking?

 

A:In the Customise functionality, click on and type in a new password to replace the old one.

 

Q:If my Login Password expires, can I still open my account?

 

A:Yes, upon logging in, you will be advised that your password has expired and prompted to enter a new one. Simply fill in the fields to fulfill the password renewal.

 

Q:Why is the password box pre-filled as soon as I enter my User ID?

 

A:This may have resulted from clicking "Yes"when the browser asked if you would like to enable the AutoComplete function when you first tried to log in to China Bank Online. The AutoComplete browser prompt appears as follows:

For your transaction security, always click "No" when the above prompt appears when you log in to, or transact in China Bank Online. You can choose to disable the AutoComplete function (please see next question).

 

Q:How do I disable the AutoComplete function?

 

A:Following are the steps to disable the AutoComplete function in Internet Explorer:

            1. Click on Internet Options

            2. On the top portion, click on Content

            3. Click on AutoComplete

            4. Uncheck User Names and Passwords on Forms

            5. Uncheck Prompt me to save password
